Install the Amadalis exporter

A small plugin you install on your WordPress site so we can read the parts of it that no export file contains. It adds one read-only endpoint and nothing else — no settings screen, nothing to configure. You install it, run your migration, and delete it.

What it is

One PHP file that adds a single read-only address to your site's API. It creates no database tables, stores nothing, and makes no outbound network requests. Deleting it leaves no trace.

It only reads

There is no write path in it. It cannot create, change, publish, or delete anything on your site — not because we promise not to, but because the code to do so isn't there. It answers only to a signed-in user who holds WordPress's Export permission, over HTTPS.

What it refuses to send

Password hashes, session tokens, application passwords, API keys, payment and webhook secrets are filtered out inside your WordPress install, before anything is transmitted — and reported back by name, so you can see what was withheld. Nothing to migrate means nothing to leak. Your users' passwords do not come across, and that's a design decision, not a gap.

Licence

The plugin is licensed GPLv2 or later, and the licence text ships inside the zip. You can read every line of it before you install it.

What it reaches that an export file can't

A WordPress export file is one XML document of your posts and their metadata. It structurally cannot contain the contents of a plugin's own database tables — that's a fact about the file format, not a shortcoming of any tool. This plugin reads those tables directly. Here's what the copy you're about to install declares it can reach:

Derived from the exporter's declared capability contract — 17 channels in this build, across the 12 source categories the migration engine tracks. Your site's own copy declares its channels when you connect, and the receipt names any it can't answer for.

Install it

The same "upload a zip" flow used by commercial plugins like WPML and ACF Pro. Nothing appears in a settings menu afterwards — there's nothing to configure.

The download isn't published from this environment yet. If you're evaluating a migration with us, we'll send you the zip directly — it's version-stamped and checksummed.
  1. Download the zip. Don't unzip it — WordPress installs it as-is.
  2. In wp-admin, go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin.
  3. Choose the zip, click Install Now, then Activate Plugin.
  4. Create an application password — same as door 3, and the same one-click revoke when you're done. See the steps.
  5. Come back and connect.

Upload Plugin button missing? Some hosts disable plugin uploads. Ask your host or administrator to install the zip, or drop the unzipped folder into wp-content/plugins/ over SFTP and activate it from Plugins.

Remove it when you're done

Plugins → Installed Plugins → Deactivate → Delete. It created no tables and stored no data, so there is nothing left behind to clean up. Revoke the application password in the same visit.
